Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Perkd collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Perkd is an Australian AI vending business. In this policy, "Perkd", "we", "us" and "our" means PERKD GROUP PTY LTD (ACN 699 899 897, ABN 80 699 899 897).
This policy covers this website (perkd.site), our enquiry, booking and event forms, our events, and our sales and marketing activities. The Perkd app has its own privacy policy, available at web.perkd.me/privacy/en/index.html. If you use the Perkd app, that policy applies to your use of the app.
2. What personal information we collect
We collect only what we reasonably need for our business. Depending on how you deal with us, this can include:
- Contact details: your name, phone number, email address, postcode and the business you work for.
- Business and enquiry details: information about your business, venue, products or plans that you choose to give us, such as business type, location, timing, budget and any notes you add.
- Event details: your answers and consents when you register for, attend or enter a draw at one of our events.
- Communications: records of emails, calls, messages and meetings with us.
- Technical and usage information: your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the page that referred you, campaign tags and click identifiers, and identifiers held in cookies and similar technologies.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information). Please do not send it to us.
3. How we collect it
- Directly from you. When you fill in a form on this site, book a meeting, register for or attend an event, email, call, message or meet us. At events, our staff may enter your details into a form for you.
- Automatically. When you visit this site, cookies, pixels and similar technologies collect technical and usage information. See section 7.
- From third parties. Advertising and analytics platforms, event organisers, business partners and publicly available sources may give us information, such as which ad or campaign brought you to our site.
4. Anonymity and pseudonymity
You can browse this site without telling us who you are, and you can ask us general questions without giving your name. To follow up an enquiry we need at least one way to contact you. If you do not give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to answer your enquiry or provide our services.
5. How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and follow up with you.
- To understand your needs and provide information, proposals and services.
- To run events, promotions and draws.
- To manage our relationship with you and keep records of enquiries and consents.
- To send you marketing about Perkd (see section 6).
- To measure and improve our website, services and advertising.
- To protect our site and forms from spam, fraud and abuse.
- To meet our legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information. We may use aggregated or de-identified information, which does not identify you, for reporting and analysis.
6. Direct marketing
We may use your contact details to send you information about Perkd by email, SMS or phone, where you have agreed to this or where the law otherwise allows it. Every marketing email and SMS will tell you who it is from and how to opt out.
We may also show you ads on platforms such as Google and Meta. To do this, we may create custom audiences from contact details (such as email addresses and phone numbers), which are hashed (scrambled) before the platform receives them. Platforms may use these to show our ads to people who already know us, to exclude them, or to build lookalike audiences of people with similar interests. We do not get the identity of people in lookalike audiences.
You can opt out at any time:
- SMS: reply STOP to any SMS from us.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Any channel, including phone and ads: contact us using the details in section 16 and we will stop marketing to you and remove you from any audience list we upload.
We will process your request promptly and free of charge. We may still contact you about an enquiry or dealing you have with us.
7. Cookies, pixels and analytics
This site uses cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. Some help the site and our forms work. Others measure how the site is used and how our ads perform. These include Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel. When you send a form, our server may also send conversion information to advertising platforms to measure our ads. This can include your email address and phone number in hashed form, your IP address, your browser type and cookie identifiers.
You can control cookies:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage Google ad personalisation in Google's My Ad Center.
- Manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
8. Who we share it with
We share personal information with service providers who help us run our business. They may only use it to provide their services to us. They include:
- cloud hosting, website and security providers, such as Cloudflare;
- email, SMS and messaging service providers;
- CRM and sales tools;
- scheduling and booking tools;
- form and survey tools;
- advertising and analytics platforms, such as Google and Meta; and
- event organisers and partners, where you take part in an event or promotion we run with them.
We may also disclose personal information to our professional advisers, where the law requires or allows it, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Perkd or others.
If we sell or transfer all or part of our business or assets, personal information may be disclosed to a prospective or actual buyer and transferred as part of the sale.
9. Overseas disclosure
Our service providers may store information in Australia, the United States and other countries. We take reasonable steps to make sure overseas recipients handle your information in line with the APPs.
10. Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. These steps include encrypted connections, access controls limited to people who need it, and protection against spam and bots on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. It is then securely deleted or de-identified.
11. Third-party websites and services
This site may link to websites and services run by others, such as booking tools and social media. This policy does not cover them. They have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
12. Unsolicited information
If we receive personal information we did not ask for, we will check whether we could have collected it under the APPs. If not, we will destroy or de-identify it where it is lawful and reasonable to do so.
13. Access and correction
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details in section 16. We will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. We do not charge for a request, but may charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of giving access. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing and how to complain.
14. Children
Our website and services are for businesses and adults. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
15. Complaints
If you think we have breached the APPs, contact us first using the details in section 16. Tell us what happened and how you would like it resolved. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
